It was well over a month ago that I flew back to Denver from Jackson. My last stop before the airport was the National Museum of Wildlife Art . If you’re lucky enough to be in Jackson, go there.
Since I grew up in Washington, I have an enhanced respect for Totem poles. They are a frequent site around the Northwest: in parks, galleries, museums, advertisements, you name it. I was delighted to find this lovely painted pole at the museum from a Northwest carver.
I’m traveling this week, and I’m already behind on my New Mexico posts. I will do my best to catch up, but I hope you all spend a little time outside enjoying Independence Day!
